About Masturbation and Pelvic Exams

I am 14 years old, almost 15, and I have never had a pelvic exam to date. While I do not look forward to it, I DO understand that it is something I have to do for my own well being. I know that you are supposed to tell your Ob/Gyn if you are sexually active. I am NOT sexually active-at least not with another person. What I want to know is if the same applies to masturbation. Should I tell my doctor that I masturbate, or is it safe to keep that to myself? I understand that the more information that they have the better, but if it's not critical that I tell them I would rather not. I wouldn't worry about it so much, but I've used more than just my fingers in the past, larger objects, before I realized how unsafe it was. I think that using those objects may have broken my hymen, and I think that might affect something. ((I realize now how dangerous it was to use unsterilized objects, and I no longer use them. I also know that I don't have any infections resulting from the use.))

I also wanted to know how much of what you and your doctor talk about can be told to your parents. I've read around the site and other sites, and I've read that they cannot tell your parents that you are sexually active if you don't give permission. Does that also apply to masturbation? And does that also include if your parents specifically asks about it.
