okay, this was two years ago, but your symptoms may well be gluten intolerance. It took me 3 years to find out what was causing intense pain on the left side of the upper abdomen. Now I know, gluten is sweeter than sugar and your triglycerides go through the roof when you eat anything with gluten. Cut out bread, pastries and pasta and see if it helps. I had the racing heart and everything, shortness of breath, etc. Read the book "Wheat Belly" and it explains everything. it changed my life.

I just had my 3d acute pancreatitis attack in a year.  The last one was while I was in Panama City and the doctors pointed to the meds I take --a hormone pill and prednisone (for RA).  It turns out that many of the meds I take are somewhat implicated in acute pancreatitis.  I did enjoy drinking wine and that probably contributed to the problem but medications must be considered.  In all three cases I had just had high demand/stress times (holidays) and in two of the three cases I had taken a lot of an expectorant/cough suppressant for a sinus infection.  Having follow up tests next week.

Hello Chris! I would appreciate it if you could contact me because I have exactly the same issues that you are stating here, and I'd rather not speak about them very opening. My name is Renee. I hope to hear from you soon! Thank you and hang in there!

read labels and watch the fat consumption especially lamb as it seems to trigger pain. Salads help a lot and are light on the system. I had acute pancreatitis 5 years ago and despite gallstone surgery suffer if I dine out and have more than a couple of drinks.

I am so blessed to have read this. I have a problem and I need advice. I was Undiagnosed, for 2 to 3 years, I suffered with gallstones. I was told it was my fibromyalgia acting up, small hernia nothing to worry about, I have degentrive bone disease, it's my spine. One night doubled up I went to ER . Found out it was my gallstones. It was so advanced stones had attached to existing organs. I now have pancreatitis. I do not drink however, that is the NO. 1 thing not to do. What's the problem? Could be gallstones left surgery was over 2 yrs ago!! Any advice, etc...deb
