I've been taking Zoloft for 1 year now & YES IT DOES MAKE SOME PEOPLE GAIN WEIGHT!!! Weight loss & weight gain are BOTH side effects. Before I started taking Zoloft, I weighed 100 lbs., but I now weigh 120. Not everyone in this world react to medications the same.Guest wrote:
A side effect of Zoloft is definite weight gain. The fact that you are on the Adderall is why you are not gaining weight. Adderall is an appetite suppressant.
Zoloft DOES NOT MAKE U GAIN WEIGHT!!!
:-P
Lexapro is not like Zoloft. They are not in the same class of drugs. Zoloft is an MAOI drug that is used to treat depression. Lexapro is an SSRI and is used to treat depression/anxiety. The drugs are metabolized differently by the body. You should ask your doctor about combining the two meds, accidental overdose is very common in people who take sedative type medications.

zoloft (sertraline) is a Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) and not a Monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI)/ Adderall(dextroamphetamine) and Ritalin (methylphenidate) are Monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOI). taking ritalin with zoloft increases serotonin drastically. taking adderall with zoloft doesnt increase seretonin but decreases the metabolism of the adderall which enhances and prolongs the effect. its 100% safe to mix these 3. dont worry about a thing. if you have any questions, dont hesitate to ask.
When i was 18 I lost 15 lbs when I started to take it!
