I had my Gall Bladder removed via the tube Sep 5th this year. No problems up until yesterday when I experienced upper abdominal pain on my right side under my rib cage. I went to the ER as I was instructed if any pains came back. I was in the ER 10 hrs. They did an ultra-sound, CAT Scan, blood work and urine tests and all came back negative. We are writing it off "for now" as a muscle strain but I have a feeling its worse than that. I have no swelling, vomiting but I did have a couple of bouts of diahrea. I'm eating normally and I in good shape. The pain is about a "2" when I'm not moving, but it jumps to a 9 as soon as I start to move around. Sleeping is rough and I can't sleep on my side. I'm starting to think I have another stone, bile duct problems or an issue with my liver but whats baffling is all of my tests came back fine. I have another appt with my Dr tomorrow. I hope he doesn't have to open me up to find out whats going on. Any thoughts ?? Thanks

tests cannot always diagnose things like stone stuck in bile duct, i am finding it's so common, wish i never had my gall bladder out, would avoid any surgeries, if i had it to do over again...there is always another way, unless broken bone, or something like that, but even then...
