Hi, so I'm 18 and I had my gallbladder out about 5 months ago but I still have constant stomach pain and nausea. Is this normal?

Hello BetWhi

Your description suggests that you have an infection, visit a doctor without any delay - maybe the same surgeon who conducted your surgery

I did! And they did an MRI to check it but nothing's wrong. No infections.

Well, in that case a second opinion must be sought - pain and nausea is a symptom which happens with infection! A simple ultrasound sonography should reveal the real trouble

I am so glad to have found this forum. I've felt very alone in this. You are so young. I hope you start feeling better soon. My surgery was Sept. 10 and it was complicated. I was in the hosp for 9 days. Now it's nearly 3 months later. I am still feeling sick. I've had tests done and my new dr put me on Prevacid. It worked at first, but not really any more. I go back next week. I've lost so much weight I look like a skeleton. I try eating, but it's hard when I'm sick.

I am so so sorry! I remember that. I couldn't eat for months and I lost a ton of weight. And everyone's just says eat! Well it's hard when It makes you feel sick. I haven't found anything to help it besides time. I can eat now but it's not pleasant. I'm sorry!

Do certain kinds of foods bother you, or any food?

Have you been checked for crohn's? It has some of the same issues.
