I had my surgery today I'm only 15 so my symptoms might be different. And everytime I wake up first my ear was numb but I slept on that then I wake up and my arms whish were just laying over my chest were numb. Is this normal??????

It is kind of bittersweet to hear this news. I noticed the numbness in both of my outer thighs the day after my surgery. When I asked my Surgeon why this was, he said maybe it was the straps that they had around my legs during surgery. He really didn't have an answer for me. Everybody I mention this to, acts like they have never heard of it. My surgery was on 2-14-2012. Most of the feeling has come back in my right upper thigh, but not my left. Sometimes it seems to feel like it is coming back with small sharp pains, and tingling. It is very aggravating because you notice it everyday. I hope there is somthing that can be done about this...It seems to be happening too much..

Gall bladder remover 08/09/2011 Still have terrible problems in lower /back and both legs. Pain is severe. Now/ and pain persists. Can't sleep, pain and leg stiffness now permanent. Laparoscopic surgery uses CO2 to inflate us like a balloon. Ga gets into everything. Pain is often beyond ability to tolerate.Doctors say it's imaginary or that it's due to something else.

I had the same problem - the day after my gall bladder surgery my right leg above my knee on the front and outside was numb. I went to E.R. and they found no problem with my bloodflow in my leg. Six years later I still have some numbness but it slowly went away with massage and physical therapy.

I too had my gallbladder removed but it was 6 months ago ---since than my legs and especially both knee caps have been very painful and I can't straigten my legs...to the point I need a cane now. I now believe it is from the surgery.

Sounds like me...my legs and feet are numb after gall bladder lapro, and it's been over ten months. I still feel a lot of pain after months and like a wire brush was scrubbed inside of me. I suspect a sponge was left inside of me hitting a nerve and causing numbness and a lot of pain. Sponges left inside after surgery is very dangerous..sponge can move to my heart. Over 6000 victims year have sponges left inside them, and are not reported to the public because the federal government does not require hospitals to report sponges left inside patients. NEVER again will I allow any butcher to go into my navel. ONE incision for gall bladder could have saved me TWO very painful surgeries ...the second surgery to repair the hernia caused by the first. TEN months several pain "Lapro easier" Two surgeries is Not easier...My neighbor has had four cesarian sections to deliver four babies...she healed...One through my navel never healed and is still painful...Blind one inch cut to root around with cameras and mesh bags and too small an opening to SEE their sponges...Doctor=Rotcod...Bait big fish tale money...rotting our organs

Hi my name is Chris, I had my gallbladder out 3 days ago when I woke up this morning from my thigh to my knee is completely numb on my right leg I can't walk up and down stairs coz my leg just gives way! I'm frightened to death I've got a blood clot!! should I call the non emergency NHS helpline?

You all sound like me, I had my surgery on last week Thursday and three days later I'm feeling tingling and numbing. It's mostly on my right side thigh to knee and worse when sleeping. I go back for my follow-up on the 31st and will find out for sure what's going on. I will keep you all posted. It sounds like many people suffer from this, however it is not a good thing.
