I had surgery for torn rotator cuff on April 17. I was in the sling until june 07. Followed by physiotherapy. The whole process has been quite painful. Endured only by the aid of strong pain meds. I have faith in my surgeon. My Physiotherapist is excellent. The past 10 days I backed away from PT as the pain is quite severe, relentless, 7/24. I've tried witrhout regular pain meds during this period.. I backed away from PT. I've been to emergency once. All shows good on the xrays. I believe that I have a pinched nerve or something. Something is definitelt not right. I am thankful for this site as I now see that this healing process is long, slow, painful and no two are the same. I am hopeful that once I get thru this plateau of the healing process that I will continue to recover. My family physician is a bllessing and I will be back on a regiment of pain meds. The big guns, PROFESSIONALS were good at what they did but they now will not acknowledge that what I feel is out of the norm. So I am gateful to hear others stories withsimilar struggles but I also hear the recovery...solution is hang in, hang on and pray.
