Nasal cycle edema rotates from side to side average 2.5 hours with range of 1-4 hours, and has been described since late 1800s. The nasal cycle is controlled by the central nervous system. This is a normal physiologic function of the airways, to allow clearing of mucus and debris from the airway.
—this cycle becomes pronounced, with severe edema causing near total blockage of alternating airways, usually with excess mucus and sneezing, and much worse when head is in a dependent position, and less when head elevated.

My nasal pathways bith have a below normal internal diameter as I found out from a clinical trial in which a tube could not fit through there [a tube designed to fit through there] How are you going post operation?

It is because our blood vessel are dilated, so all the fluid including mucus and blood goes down to the lower portion because of that the turbinates expand and blocks the air going inside. Thia is my problem also, i cannot sleep. When you lay down facing to the right, your right nosetril block and the left nostril is open, when you switch to the left, the left noaetril blocks the right noaetril gradually open.
