Hello,

I'm 13 years old and I'm worried about puberty, I believe I have hit puberty a few months ago as I am starting to grow pubic hair, but I'm worried about other aspects, I have been masturbating for about a year and a half, I might have even started before I hit puberty. And I feel like in effect of the masturbation I may have decreased my testosterone levels, my testicles are not very large ones maybe the size of a small grape and the other is roughly the same. My penis flaccid is probably only 2- 2½ inches and erect roughly 4½ inches. My friends talk alot about them having high testosterone levels and it worries me, but most of my friends are nearly a year older then me. Personally I'm really skinny, not unhealthy skinny but very small. and I'm also concerned about my muscles, as I was researching low testosterone levels I also found out about the fact low testosterone affects muscle growth, I don't personally work out but I don't know if that's a sign, Please tell me if I'm just really early on puberty to see results or if I may be affected by low testosterone or something similar, I'm really worried

Hi!

It's completely normal to have questions and concerns about puberty at your age, and it's great that you're seeking information to better understand what's happening with your body.

It sounds like you have already started puberty, as the growth of pubic hair is one of the first signs. Masturbation is also a normal part of sexual development, and it does not typically have a significant impact on testosterone levels.

Testicle size can vary among individuals, and it's not necessarily an indicator of testosterone levels. Additionally, penis size can vary greatly among individuals and is not necessarily related to testosterone levels either. It's important to remember that everyone develops at their own pace and there is a wide range of what is considered normal.

Regarding muscle growth, it's important to note that testosterone does play a role in muscle development, but it's not the only factor. Regular exercise, proper nutrition, and adequate rest are also important for building and maintaining muscle mass.

At your age, it's not necessary to worry too much about testosterone levels or muscle growth. Puberty is a gradual process that takes several years to complete, and everyone goes through it differently.
