Hi,really not recommended,I also had chronic anal fissure which came and went(escuse the pun),after some weeks with no pain I tried some anal play again but the pain stopped me in my tracks, this went off and on for some months which was very disappointing and extremely painful, after a few visits to the docs I was advised I needed an operation which I had,a very unpleasant and painful affair, that was a month ago,im just waiting and hoping that I get a full recovery and go back to my normal fun,if you have a fissure make sure to let it heal with absolutely no insertions of any kind, buy some poo softening drinks to be drank at least once a day, change your diet to a more healthy way,
that can really help in the healing process, try Bepanthen'its a skin healing cream that can help, let it heal for at least 3 months and more.good luck

You should consider buying something called the "Raw Pup" from Fort Troff. It's like a sleeve that you can put into your rectum and it eliminates the friction from penetration.

If your problem is thin mucous membranes, you could give this a try! But it still will stretch your hole out, so be careful with re-opening old fissures.

I had anal warts back in the 90s for three years. I went through the same things as you. I was in my late 20s at that time. Now I am 47, and am having issues with reoccurring anal fissures. My CRS and PCP have all told me that my tears are superficial. I do believe because you're still young that you are able to resume having anal sex. But unlike me I am older and as we get older our skin loses its elasticity according to what all of my doctors have told me. I do blame the anal warts and all the surgeries over a course of 3-1/2 years causing my anal to tear more easily. Now when I go to the bathroom number 2 and have a hard bowel movement I tear. It's very depressing living with this condition. But because my anal area has already been weaken by so many procedures done down there, I am thinking to myself if any doctor tells you that there isn't any scarring they are stupid. There has to be scarring from cryotherpay and cauterization especially having it done repeatedly. I don't want to scare you but as you get older and if you notice that you develop anal fissures with or without anal sex just remember there may be a reason why its weaker down there. That's from my own experience. And there is no way that I am getting the surgery for anal fissures. My skin is already too scarred and I don't want more problems. Like my CRS told me, I may just have to learn to live with this condition for the rest of my life. If I had known what I know now, I would have used more protection back then. :(

Not a fissure, but I had a persistent blastula, just inside my anus. It required a year and a half of three surgeries to finally get it cured. I refrained from anal for two years. I can have anal again just fine.

I am a bottom guy and have been with my partner for 19 years now. I had an anal fissure two years ago, and I thought I would never be able to have anal sex again. I was very sad because it is important to me and my partner likes it very much. It took about 10 months for the fissure to heal. I kept the area clean and used my little finger to massage inside and put a little "Aquaphor" (Eucerin) cream on the area (and inside) every day to keep it moist (stil use it every day).....but with great care. I put Then after 10 months I felt confident of putting a larger finger in after my daily shower, with plenty of lubricant. After about 16 months I started using small but plugs, slowly using bigger ones, and then after about 18 months I had anal sex, we were very careful again lots of lubricant....and now after 2 years, I feel much more confident and we enjoy anal sex almost 100% like before. There have been a few downs when one of the scars I feel inside opened a little....but we simply waited a couple of weeks and started again....and it does get better, it's slow but all will be well...I hope this helps....

Sorry, I forgot to mention something really important. To make sure I go to the toilet on a daily basis and it's not hard which could open the fissure again I use this product every day. It's really helped a lot for the future to heal. The doctor told me to use Plantaben and says I can use it every day for the rest of my life with no problem. It is a natural product and you don't feel any secondary effects at all.
