A couple of days ago I found out that my grandfather had a condition called anurisism before he died. It hasn’t been diagnosed in time, it burst and there was bleeding that couldn’t be stopped and he died. I was wondering if this condition is hereditary and if you could also tell me what other factors can contribute to formation of anurisism? Thank you

Heredity may play a role in brain aneurysm but also other factors like smoking, use of alcohol, oral contraceptives, or head injury. This condition is very hard to notice until it had already caused trouble. Unraptured aneurysms may not even cause any symptoms while raptured will definitely show signs like localized headache, stiff neck, blurred vision, loss of sensation, etc
