Any Problems with mesh bladder slings

I know it's been a while since your posting this. I have had three surgeries ,one to put sling in 2009 then had erosion 2010 ,now decide to remove it Nov, 2011. Be mindful please . When removed I deveoped absess  poisend me in hospital 2 weeks almost ceptic . I almost died , phnemonia  on top of that.

Sling had been poisoning me for 3 yrs. when they took it out it eroded  and poisoned me. Before this they kept saying spotting was menopause my stomach was distended. BE MINDFUL you know your body. Still recovering at home with wound vac and nurses. Please don't let this get to far.

I cannot believe that this is causing you so much trouble. Did your doctors told you what is the main reason behind this? This is the fourth procedure and I know that this is not simple at all. I know that the main reason for this is to treat urinary incontinence but have they suggested any other treatment for your problem? Can you tell me if you have a lot of pain in your urethra? I am not sure why are the slings so problematic for you and why are you having the fourth procedure done. I hope that you will be able to get rid of this problem.

Hi. I'm 41 years old and had a tvto surgery in 2008. After the surgery, I immediately knew that something was terribly wrong.
I was admitted that night only to find my doctor give me a run around. I found a new doctor who performed a surgery that didn't work and became verbally abusive when I told him I had no relief. I then found our that he never found the mesh. This is after I ordered the operative report.
I then found a doctor in Baltimore ( I'm a new Yorker) who removed part of the mesh and warned me about removing all of it.
I was grateful because I was able to void but my life is ruined. I have incontinence that is much worse thank I had to begin with and I have pain on a daily basis. I try so hard to be normal but its just a fassad.
I cannot work anymore. My credit is ruined and I have thousands of dollars in medical debt along with credit card debt that I stopped paying after I stopped working. I am so broke and worse of all my sex life is totally ruined.
I feel my life has been ruined all courtesy of Johnson and Johnson. There is a doctor in ucla who is well respected. Look up Lana keeton. I do warn you. Think twice before you allow too many surgeries. I know someone who had about 12 and her bladder collapsed.

Oh wow! thanks for the advice, and I am so sorry for what you are going through, I have started to loose urine on a constant bases, but I think I will leave it as it is for now, hope you will find a good Dr. to get you better

oh my god. I have benn saying for a year and a half that i feel cmpletely sick and poisoned. i waited four months to get into a urologyst out of state. I live in miss.you cant get any help here and i have no insurance.In 9 e.r. visits all i had done was a ct.scan because of no insurance but i know the feeling of two years of feeling poisined
