Stomachache (or liver pain mistook for a stomachache) plus nausea may INDICATE failing liver. The best you can do is to stop using paracetamol and contact your doctor to exclude and possibly prevent any permanent liver damage.
It can also be a symptom of an allergic reaction to specific brand of paracetamol or allergic reaction to paracetamol in general. Which also leads to stopping the treatment immediately and contacting your doctor. IF you are having heavy allergic reaction immediate medical attention is required (don't get into thinking that you can wait it out and it will pass and you will be fine, you may be lucky few times, but all it takes is one unlucky time). By heavy reaction I mean things like hoarseness, difficulty swallowing, shortness of breath, facial or oral swelling, hives or itching. Some of them may seem light, but they can develop much further and/or be accompanied by other symptoms which unattended may lead to your death.
Best you can do is to ask your doctor or pharmacist for a different solution to headache/fever. Generally if you have fever for more than two days you should contact your doctor since this might be a sign of something that paracetamol will not heal. It might only temporarly help you with the symptoms, but you will not get rid of the cause.
I DO NOT reccommend doing this, but it works for me. I am allergic to paracetamol and unfortunately this is supposed to be the least harmful pain/fever medication during pregnancy. Well, not for me. Therefore after a talk with my gynaecologist we decided that taking ibuprofen if need be is a much safer solution than risking a heavy allergic reaction during pregnancy.
Just want to point out that paracetamol is apparently not that safe for pregnancy... This from the wiki page:
Until 2010, paracetamol was believed safe in pregnancy (as it does not affect the closure of the fetal ductus arteriosus as NSAIDs can[32]). However, in a study published in October 2010 it has been linked to infertility in the adult life of the unborn.
You should only ever worry about reducing your fever if it is too high. As a rule of thumb, 102 farenheit or 38 celcius, is the time you should think about reducing your fever. A mild fever one or two degrees above normal isn't anything to be concerned about. It is also noteworthy that it is good to know what's "normal" for you. Not everyone is exactly 98.6F(36.6C), and you may run a few degrees hotter or colder on average.
Ibuprofen is a fever reducer, but it's not recommended if you have a peptic or gastric ulcer. It's also recommended that you take it with food and not on an empty stomach. Something small like a banana or piece of bread will do, just eat it then take the pill. As always, consider your own body and ask your doctor first if you have any underlying stomach issues.
A lukewarm bath or shower can also help to reduce fever the old fashioned way. Drinking lots of water will help your body regulate it's temperature more efficiently as well.
This might sound cruel but I am so thankful that I am not the only one allergic to Paracetamol. Where I live, no-one knew you could be. I have only developed the allergy over the last few years along with sever dustmite and grass allergies.
We have now concluded that I am Anaphylactic to Paracetamol and to a slightly lesser extent Ibuprofen, Nurofen and anything that has similar ingredients. Because of all of these common allergies I get extremely sick a lot of the time. I can take Aspirin but it doesn't do anything for me.
Can anyone help?

Hi I am allergic to paracetamol and was diagnosed at the age of 13. The symptoms I get is a headache getting worse rather than better and extreme sickness. I used to get this when I got headaches in the mornings which of course resulted in me having a rather large amount of time off from school. In the end my mum consulted with my doctor at the time and he tested for allergy and found that I was allergic to paracetamol.
Hello Fidelia, I am allergic to paracetamol, I was diagnosed late november. I am 44 years old! such a coincidence, in Sptember I took paracetamol for kids (liquid) and in 15 minutes the reactions started (Abdominal pain or cramping ,Confusion,Diarrhea,Nausea, vomiting , Rapid pulse, rush, etc). In my opinon your husband has intolerance to paracetamol, it is not an allergic reaction because it appears suddenly few minutes after taking medicine.
I was diagnosed by Doctor Desiree Larenas Linnemann member of The American Academy of Allergy Asthma and Immunology

Hi I am allergic to Paracetamol too. If I take that medicine, some dark black patch develops on my arm which does not ache or itch but it gets reddened if I continue consiming the medicine. The worst part is, since the drug acts as a painkiller, I dont know what to take if I need to avoid pain..
hi i am allergic to paracetamol too... if i take paracetamol after few minutes i start to sneeze. and my sneeze is contioueous i can't hold it, not only that my sking on my face down to my neck turn reddish... actually these cas happen tome also in some medicines with paracetamol like the neosep, bioflo, biogesic... what should i do.????
Same here Laura - took it all my childhood, then in my late teens it started CAUSING a cough. At first I didn't realise as I would be taking it in cold & flue medications. As I grew older the symptoms got progressively worse. I only take pain medication a few times a year and it has been years since I took paracetamol but I'm terrified of how I would react now.
