So I have seen this around in stores and online quite a bit, this Scholl Express Pedi. They come in different versions. I don't know if it is because I did an awful lot of hiking this summer, but whole slabs of skin are simply separating/falling off my soles at the moment and I am too lazy or just not willing to get a professional pedicure by someone else. OK, I am ashamed of my feet, I'll admit it.

So I wanted to know, is the Scholl Express Pedi a good alternative to a pro pedi? If you have tried it, what do you think?

Ah, well, I have seen them around in stores and I've wondered too, whether one of those would be a good purchase or not. I basically understand that they're something like a more updated pumice stone but that rotates and with better materials. I think it has batteries too. And by the way, they have automatic nail files as well, which I am also interested in because I do wear gel nails and I would like to make them shorter myself to go longer between appointments. Anyway, I can't tell you from personal experience but I hope someone here can. It could either be really useful or a waste of money that you'll place in the back of your cupboard after two tries.

I have one, more specifically the hard skin remover, and I like it. While it doesn't make your feet look and feel quite the way they would if you got a professional pedicure treatment, it is also a whole lot cheaper than that is, and it is quick and easy to use any time you feel like it. It does help you keep your feet feeling good and looking presentable, which is why I wanted it. I use it when I notice my feet need it, not on any kind of regular schedule, and that works well. There are many other products like this on the market but I am quite happy with what I have.

I have one. My mom gave it to me as a gift, which was sweet of her, but it's really very rough on my feet and doesn't deliver the refined results it would have you believe by any stretch of the imagination! It's a rather crude tool, I dare say. I even noticed that my feet were worse off than before, that they were cracking in places. If you are very gentle with it, barely touching your skin, it's OK, but it's not a tool I really break out regularly.

Don't tell my mom though. :) I told her I like it.

Nah, never. I have seen them around but it does not appeal to me at all. I go for a pedicure about twice a year or whenever my feet look like they are screaming for one, LOL.... I'd not mess around with home products like that too much because 1 the result is never the same and 2 part of the reason I go for pedis in the first place is it's nice for someone else to take good profi care of your feet. I'd rather spend money on that than on some mechanical device that I already know I won't be using much...

I have seen a device that looks quite amazing and that I'm quite sure must be the Scholl Express Pedi on TV. It looks good but also a bit scary. I suppose it is very good when you do have a lot of rough skin on your feet, but I don't have that much of it. So, I would be scared it would wear the complete skin away to the point of bleeding and injuries. I am not currently considering buying one for this reason, but these Chinese nibbly fish seem like a more appealing option.
