Hello, I have a problem. Some changes occurred on my left eye. Several blisters showed, eye became reddish, it was itchy and then the blisters burst and infection came. After I visited the doctor and after the series of diagnostic procedures performed by my ophthalmologist, I was diagnosed by Atypical Herpes. Tell me something about that please.

By your description of your symptoms we could say that we surely are talking about Atypical herpes. This condition is caused by HSV type 1, it is mostly manifested on the lips but it can have its atypical localization (on the eye, for example). It is some sort of conjunctivitis. It needs to be properly treated, because if not treated, it could lead to the further complications of the eye.
