ive got bad breath no matter what i do n i cant help the smell i think its comming from my tonsils cause sometimes tonsil stone come out and when i put my hands on my tonsils the stink! badly but my tonsils are not big they are okay sized but they pain me what can i do to get my doctor to give me tonsillectomy cause im dieing from the gossip of my stink im terried of bad life help me xxxxxxxx

Here is the thing about tonsil stones. They aren't life threatening and they are no threat to our health. Unless your stones are inches in length, some doctors won't bother because they feel a few small stones are not worth the tonsillectomy. There are two ways you can go about this. 1. Get a new doctor and maybe they will be more understanding to what you want. 2. Go to your current doctor over and over and over until he/she gets the hint. I went with choice 2. I told my doctor that it was disturbing my social life, I told him that it was disturbing my work because I was constantly running to the bathroom picking at my tonsils and it was also disturbing my health because I would poke my tonsils to the point where they would bleed and start to become sore. about a month later I got the tonsillectomy. Overboard? Maybe. But I'm not dealing with the stones anymore. So you decide which option you think will work best for you :) good luck!
