before period, i have crack on genital area

I think many people are unaware that you can give someone genital herpes if you have oral herpes by giving oral sex.  Even without an outbreak there is something called shedding.  It's an unfortunate virus to have in your system.  Many people get oral herpes (cold sores) as children (I believe because everyone loves to kiss little kids and older relatives always want to kiss them on the lips! )  I believe this is how my sister got cold sores on her lips because she had them since she was little.  I have the other kind and it was the usual way.

I had a very severe alergic reaction the first time I used always ininity it was aweful down there I also have an adhesive allergy but other pads never where a problem. I called always and they won't even let you know what the chemical make up of this new prduct is. I know it's a patent thing but if people are getting rashes that are so painful the first day they try it they need to work on that issue. Mine was a diagnosed allergy by my dr antihistamines are helping it clear up. I'm glad I'm not the only person having problems with infinity , we need to contact the company and let them know. Maybe they can change something to make it better for women with heavy periods. The health and safety person I talked to at always told me there are not many calls about pads , he said it had been months since he had received a call about them. If a product is making you sick in any way you need to let the company know so they can address the issue. 

I have never had cracking in my vagina but I get it only in my ass crack before I start my period.. I have also been checked several times for herpes and that isnt the case.. this just started a couple of months ago but its getting quite irritating I dont know if I could go the rest of my life like this.. I dont really know what to do. I try to use pure cornstarch baby powder but that seems to over dry it.. is it because of too much moisture or overdrying that the skin cracks.. my doc keeps dismissing me with out giving me a diagnosis. she just says its not herpes.

it is ALARMING how much misinformation this discussion contains about herpes. this is exactly why so many people have it these days and why 90% of the people who have it don't know it. news flash: it's extremely easy to contract, condoms aren't going to necessarily stop you from getting it, and virgins can also be carrying this virus! ONE other post mentioned children contracting the virus often times as the result of an innocent kiss from a family member... it happens quite often. my husband had cold sores dating back to childhood which were clearly not the result of sexual contact. in adulthood he then passed the virus to me through *oral* sex so now i have genital herpes as a result of his having shed the virus (he did not have an outbreak at the time) at a time when his mouth came into contact with my genitals. furthermore, people assume that because they were "tested for STDs" or because they had their labs run as part of their yearly well woman checkup that they're void of any STDs. this is a dangerous assumption since herpes is NOT routinely tested for, even when you specifically request to be tested for STDs. you have to ask to be tested for herpes itself or else it will not be included. not only that, but my outbreaks are very clearly herpes. my doctor has no doubt, i have no doubt... and they're treated as such. that being said, my herpes blood test was still negative. it can happen. so many people in this discussion (and outside of it as well) would rather just deny they have it than entertain the possibility that it could happen to them too. that's something neither they nor the people they have relations with can afford. that fear and denial is the way this virus propagates. it CAN happen to anyone. it doesn't mean you're dirty, or slutty, or stupid. none of us are immune to it and nobody's invincible. if something you don't understand is going on anywhere on or in your body, you owe it to yourself to explore EVERY possibility and not deny the ones you're afraid of... because, like it or not, it could happen to you too.

i have been using (always infinity) and have been having these same problems. I just went to doctor because I have these small cuts between my vagina and anus. I think its from scratching... my doctor said it might be herpes. I am freaking out. Had a blood test done and waiting for results.
