Some people say that nuts are a great thing to eat while you are on a diet, but I did hear that they do contain fats. Can anyone tell me which nuts are the best for when you are on a diet and trying to lose weight, and why? I sometimes see those nut and dried fruits bags they sell for breakfast or a snack. Are those any good?

hey kara-lynn. Nuts are essentials in daily nutrition, of course if you aren't allergic.. a measurement for a daily need: A hand full of nuts a day keeps the doctor away ;-)
I usually eat them in muessli, in the morning.

They do contain fat, but these are the healthy fats, omega three acids.

Almonds are one of the healthiest, but other like brazilian nuts (a bit more expencieve usually), walnuts are fine too etc. Keep it to recommended allowance, eat them in moderation (just like everything else) and you'll be fine.
