I have a problem with high blood pressure. I went to doctor and he prescribed me certain Beta blocker. I remember that my father used it after his heart attack. I didn’t know that Beta blockers are used to treat high blood pressure. Can somebody tell me something about Beta blockers for blood pressure?
Well, beta blockers are prescribed for a variety of cardiovascular conditions. It decrease the force and rate of heart contractions. I know that when prescribed for high blood pressure, it is effective when used alone or in combination with other high blood pressure medications. Recently I heard that younger patients respond better to beta blockers than older patients.

Is it safe to take a beta blocker, a channel blocker, and HCTZ for high blood pressure? I have read that beta blockers are safer to take than channel blockers.
