I am 18 years old and started birth control (LoEstrin) about 7 or 8 months ago. I mainly needed to regulate my cycle and my estrogen was extremely low. I am not sexually active but I like the idea of birth control for the future. I am a ballet dancer and am already struggling with my weight and the pill made things sooooo much worse. I am only 5 feet and I am currently 120 pounds. I know that it is a healthy weight, but for ballet I do need to be trimmer. I was making progress until I started the pill and I gained another 5-10 pounds and my boobs are huge. Too big for my body. I know every girl would love this but it is really horrible for me. I was fine being a B before the pill and now I am POURING out of a C and I probably could fit a D. It is painful and awful for ballet. I know that women who loose weight generally loose some from their boobs, but I'm not sure that's working for me. I am working very hard to loose weight and I still feel at times like they are still growing. I feel very much out of proportion and I'm really upset. My main question is, will it be easier for me to loose weight and reduce my breast size if I stop taking the pill, or is the damage already done and irreversible whether I continue taking it or not???? please help :-(
I had a similar problem.
I found that after a few months on the pill they settled down a bit, and were no longer so painful. Still larger than I would prefer, but I am happier than i was
