Hello,

I wanted to ask you a question regarding a bump that has appeared between my leg and vagina. I am in my ealry twenties, am sexually active but always have protected sex with only one partner, and havent shaved recently. I have had bumps before there that appeared to be more or less like cysts, a bump would appear, it would hurt and then would either burst and puss and a bit of blood would come out (I know this is gross) and sometimes they would just heal on their own.

This time, a bump grew in the same area and I thought it might just be another cyst. But after a week, it grew a bit more and it looked like there were tiny blood vessels in it or dried black blood. The skin started tearing slowly until the whole layer of skin came off and it started just bleeding. The bump was still there but there was no skin on top and instead there was a layer of underskin that was bright red and very painful to touch. This bump was about 1cm y 1cm. A couple of days have passed by and it is starting to dry up but is still not healing. Moreober it hurts not only upon contact of that red skin with my leg, but there is a constant slihgt pain feeling that goes up to my belly button when I move in certain ways.

Is this just another cyst, or coudl it be something else?

Thanks so much for your advice.

If it has a soft center, try using a heating pad to soft it more, and then use a sterile needle to gouge out the center of it. It is probably a boil. I get them from hair follicles getting infected when I walk and my thighs rub together. Make sure you wash your thighs daily with antibacterial soap. Anti-chafing creams can also be found in drug stores. Ask the pharmacists. Anti-bacterial soap works best.
