i am a 19 year old girl and had sex for the first time about 6 months ago. the problem is i did not bleed. i was definitely a virgin but my boyfriend doesn't believe me. as i have no proof that i can give him about my virginity and so i've had a lot of fight over it with him. i know he loves me and i love him but he thinks im hiding something from my past. i have no idea right now how to convince him because this is slowly depressing me. its hard to concentrate on other things and i dont want to loose him :"( he says that he won't leave me but it would be hard to stay faithful with me if i dont tell the truth. its been more than 4 months now and it is still the reason for our fights. please can you give me possible reasons for me not bleeding for the first time!!!! just for ur info i had my first period quite late too, wen i was 17 and a half years. please reply it would be extremely helpful!!

Hi Fallen,
Fact: Not all women bleed their first time.
Fact: The hymen can be torn due to normal physical activities.
Fact: You can be a virgin with a torn, or missing, hymen.
Your boyfriends threats that "it would hard to stay faithful with you" is very immature. You don't need to prove you were a virgin to him, or to anyone. You were and that's that. He needs to just accept it.
If this has been going on for 6 months, seriously consider dumping him. He's never going to believe you about anything.

Losing him would be the best favor you could do yourself. He's laying a guilt trip on you because of his own insecurities.
There are plenty of reasons why a virgin doesn't bleed, if he doesn't understand or believe that, why would you want him as a life mate? Dan has covered them so I won't.
If he doesn't believe you, how do think he will be to live with? Can you live with a mate who constantly questions everything you do when you're not with him?
Personally I don't feel it's any of his business what you did before he met you. You are new to him and that's all that's necessary. I never asked my wife anything about her possible love life before we met. If you had an STD, that would be a different situation but you're a virgin, or you were until he came along.
