YES your period is starting honey - it's letting you know it's about to happen! Don't be ashamed of telling your mom, she will be expecting it! So the first thing to do it carry pads with you at ALL times - wait for about 2 or 3 cycles before trying Teen Tampons (they are very small, to fit young teens), ALWAYS carry pads with you! As for the first couple of years you can just get a period at different times, and they can catch you off guard! Most women can mention at least one terrible event of having an "accident" with their periods! Take a shower and keep yourself clean and your body etc. You will notice now that you will get Body Odor and feel "unfresh" so keeping on top of that, plus good skin care - especially your face, back and chest - will help SO much! CONGRATULATIONS on becoming a woman honey - IF you don't feel you can talk to your mom, I'm usually on here to answer any questions OK?
Well wear a liner for now, but DEFINITELY carry pads with you - as this can catch you off guard! Keep carrying protection with you, because when you first start out, you might have 1 period every couple of months, or several a month etc. It's just your body getting used to ALL of these hormones! I truly do think you should talk to your mom though - it's a right of passage (so to speak) also when you are in the same house, you both will be on the same schedule!
Hi I am twelve 13 in May. I have discharged every day that's white or off white. Sometimes I notice blackish brown spots in it do you know what that is? I'm not sure how to tell my mum do you think I should?
