I have a question that I am very interested into, but I do not have anyone to ask. Can anyone tell me when Bupenorphine is expected to be more available then is now? Moreover, I would like to know who would be able to prescribe this medicine. I have many questions about it, for example, what are the long term side effects, and what are considered a high and low dose? I need these answers, so if there is anyone who could tell me more about Bupenorphine, I would be thankful.

I think I could give you some info about Bupenorphine, but I would recommend you anyway to talk to your doctor. For example, I know that physicians who have passed a one-day course will eligible to prescribe this medicine to you, but with some restrictions. I was included into American Psychological Association Division on Addictions when training guidelines were established. I have heard it is even recommended that training should be shorter rather than longer. That should be done in the hope that more physicians would actually take the course, and hence Bupenorpine would be more available. I understood the drug might be available very soon, but I cannot claim this for sure. I expect that the drug called Bupenorphine will be a miracle for a few, an aid to many, and of not much use to the rest. I have heard that withdrawal is still there but obviously not as bad as they are with some other drugs. I am sure your sleep will get better with Bupenorphine, and you could take vitamins if you want soon improving of your condition.
