I'm 17 and need to lose weight for my formal which is just under a month away. I have been training 3 times a week for the last 10 months and because of this my legs are quiet manly. By not eating can I get rid of that muscle and lose weight by getting thinner legs?

Hello, you should definitely not stop eating in order to lose weight. If you dont eat you slow down your metabolism and you will be gaining fat fast later and it is going to be a lot harder for you to lose weight. So , keep eating as much as you are now. If you want to get rid of muscles on your legs you should consider something else than running. Swimming maybe or any other activity in which you will be mainly using your upper body. Its good that you were running for so long, it shows a clear dedication. Good work. On the other hand you might wanna increase 3 times per week to at least 5 times per week and you results will come faster. Hope this helps

Don't stop eating. Not eating slows your metabolism down. Think of your body as a car. Without gas, a car won't run, right? Your body is the same way. A balanced diet with healthy selections and going easy on the sweets and fats along with exercise is what you need to do!

hey i knw wt u r goin thru..i m 19 & i hv jst cmpltd 1 yr of gymin...though leavin it 4 a while & tryin dance class...u cn giv dt a try too lyk do power yoga,aerobics,walkin/jogging...which u may find interestin 4m a monotonous trainin routine...also 4 legs try squats & lunges dey r d best..i do 3 sets of 15...bt my legs hv nt bcm manly...stop trainin if it doesnt suit u...control diet as in no outside food only homemade ....try this & tell me when u hv achieved it...i hv lost 14 kgs past 1yr...try!!
