Hi my son asked me to take him to the Dr because he had a lot of pain in his testicle. The GP made an appointment for my son to have a scan. It was very awkward because he is 13 so I was obviously unable to be very involved as such. The result was calcium deposits. He had a blood test and has to be seen in outpatients in 2 months. He said he found the examination ect very embarrassing but I was proud that he got through it. The consultant said they felt it was the result of the end of an infection but he's obviously not sexually active and said he hadn't noticed any discharge. I know if he had he would have panicked and asked me to book a gp appointment as he did this time. He's very honest with me and mature enough to ask me to get him help, I just have to leave the logistics up to him. ! Still I was surprised he had calcium deposits at such a young age. These posts have been very helpful and reassuring to read so thank you everyone and good luck. ! ! !
