Carifairy is right. There are absolutely no freebies, any intercourse can result in pregnancy. I can't even think of any basis for this old wives tale. I hope that you used a condom and will in the future. It might be a good idea to go with your girlfriend to a family planning clinic and find out about different types of birth control. It is usually free and no parental consent is needed.
