Can i get an abortion without parental consent?

Does va need parental consent... I'm 16 and freaking out... I'm scared and I was forced and idk if I tell them that.. Will they tell my parents...I cant tell them.. They will hate me for ever. Please help.

Dear, if you were held against your will to have sex, definitely tell someone. That is rape and if you call the cops on him, justice will be served and you will be alright. To find your local crisis pregnancy center, look up option line and scroll all the way down to Find a Center Near Me or look up Ramah International, click on the Select Page tab, and scroll all the way down to Help in your Area.

Dear, I don't quite know your situation, but I know that getting an abortion wouldn't be the right thing to do. Instead, go see your local crisis pregnancy center for advice on what to do with the child. They provide free resources like ultrasounds and diapers and bibs. Also, it would be wise if you told your parents or, if your parents are abusive, another adult you trust about your dilemma. I know it sounds scary, but telling someone you trust could help you a great deal (plus, sometimes parents are willing to help their pregnant kids.)

Hi, I live in Virginia and I'm asking a question for my 17 year old sister. She is pregnant and we cannot tell our parents but I am 20 years old so would I be allowed to take her to an abortion certain and vouch for her abortion even though we both still live with our parents?

Dear, it would be a good idea if you told your parents OR another adult you trust. Sometimes parents can be helpful and supportive in these situations and they can stand by you during this difficult time in your life (however, if your parents are abusive, then find a way out of the house and tell another adult you trust. If you contact Child Help, they can get you out of your situation.)
