Hi everyone, great job to all that decided enough is enough, I want to be in control of my life. I been smoking since 7th grade (don't feel like researching how old I was at the time) up until 25 which I still am but been 5 months clean with only one fall off in the 2 month period mark so 3 months I haven't smoked anything. I workout right now 3 days out of the week weight lifting, and 3 days out of the week Muay Thai. When I smoked pot I had insane skills and competed in Muay Thai and I was a straight heavyweight wrecking ball. When I turned 25, I been through a heart break that turned my life upside down and I decided to take control of my life. I quit smoking, got a personal trainer, and joined a Muay Thai club after 1 year break. First 2 months was ok with the keto diet but I have had very little results and burn 1100-1500 calories per session and barely seeing results and can gain all the fat and water back and be bloated in about 2 weeks. It's like my body is t responding and doing its thing while my brain is just off doing it's own thing and trying to make me give up. This passed week was the worst, I get my ass handed to me buy pretty much beginners in Muay Thai and my speed isn't there at all and I feel heavy like I have a weight vest on at all times. The fatigue is insane, I want to sleep all the damn time and lost motivation in everything, even in girls that I used to think was very hot are now just mehhh to me and my sex drive is gone, like I can't even get a hard enough erection no matter how or what I do, this is just a nightmare. I do know that the one day I did smoke, I had an erection that just came on without any thought and was natural like as if my body felt normal again and communicating with my brain, but now I just think and do but my body and mind isn't doing sh*t for me. I wish there was people on here who been sober for at least 3 years and can share experiences if it ever gets better or am I just a old man now and smoked myself dead yet living, that's why I'm on here. I eat clean, I take shilajit which is an amazing supplement that's helps tremendously and suggest to all 100% but after 2 days of stopping I'm back to a dried up rag. I have no desire to smoke again even feeling like this, and will continue my journey, hopefully my story helps some people in where you can end up in 5 months and still fight through and not give in, because imagine starting the process over again, we obviously want to quit for a reason and was tired of previous life. If anyone does have input from experience and not a "maybe" kind of reply I'd like to hear it, if you have no experience then you don't know what your talking about no offense, this is real sh*t you just have to feel to understand.

I'm on my 3rd month marijuana free and believe me it's a very real symptom of quitting... I've smoke since I was 14 or 15 pretty steady ... now I'm 38 .. marijuana definitely affects the whole body and specifically the adrenaline glands and all other parts of the body !!! I'm tired a lot and find my muscles are always very soar as marijuana is a natural anti inflammatory for inflammation.. what you are experiencing is very common !

Hey everyone. I quit about 10 days ago... I'm 39 and started smoking when i was 19. Some weeks off and on, but most weeks I would smoke every day all day. I could work, workout, be myself when I was high... I didn't have a problem, right? Excpet when I tried to stay sober for more than a few days, I would have an overcoming urge to smoke again. Anyways, I've quit now for about 2 weeks, and I've never felt so lethargic in my life. I'm still running and working out but everything is hard! Motivation? 0. Excitement? None. I know this will pass and I'm committed to staying quit, but this sucks! I'll write again when I get past this.

It has nothing to do with pesticides or heavy metals. I quit a week ago and have all the symptoms described but I've only ever smoked the weed I grew myself organically. My guess is it's just our body's readjustment period.

dsdesk111783, It sounds like you don't know sh*t about the subject, but want to still be an authority in the threads. People like you are useless and annoying.

There are many ways to help your body detox faster. I find that the best way to detox is simply by working out. It doesn't have to be extreme either. Even a 30 minute walk daily will help aid in your recovery process and for me it definitely gives me more energy than If I didn't workout. The steam room/sauna works wonders also. I personally exercise on the stair stepper for about 30min and then lift weights for another 30-45. After that I will hit the suana and it's a lot easier to sleep that night. Anything that helps you exert yourself and sweat. Be aware that, from my personal experience, the withdrawal symptoms that are accompanied by quitting weed will be much more intense but they will not last as long. Diet plays a big part in recovery also. Stay away from fatty/fried foods and sugar as much as possible. I notice that after I eat something unhealthy, my mood will immediately become worse and I become more depressed. Eat as many veggies and fruits as possible but don't forget about healthy carbs and proteins. Drink plenty of water. When I become dehydrated, everything becomes worse! Cranberry juice helps detox the body but again it contains a lot of sugar that may hinder your mood. In my opinion, even when your body has rid itself of all the toxins from weed, you will still feel very tired and experience multiple symptoms of withdrawal. Stay strong with a positive mindset and things will slowly start to get better! Don't let marijuana keep you from living your life to the fullest.

Definitely, I think during the 30 days its leaving your body's s fat cells, you get sleepier because it's going through your system. Eventually it's done.

It is concerning me but i think it is just my body cleaning all the c**p out ... and your body works when you are asleep so it makes sense. We need to be strong .. and sleep !! Beth

I know this is an old thread, but I still want to say my piece. I quit smoking about 3 weeks ago do to a new life in my life. Now, my dreams are intense now and I can't seem to get enough sleep now. Pot actually made me more of an insomniac, so I'm loving both the deep sleep and dreams. I do feel rested when I wake, but I seem to need a nap around noon or 1:00. I usually wake around 5:30 or 6:00. When I smoked, if I woke at 4, that was it, I was awake, but now I go right back into REM sleep, and get the much needed Z's. P.S. I'd been smoking daily, all day, for about 8 years.
