I smoke weed and this person who you've decided to berate is merely trying to help. you're response was beyond unnecessary, hopefully primarily because you were suffering "un-named" symptons of quitting (you probably had no idea though, know-nothing-know-it-all). And as far as you're off the top of the head numbers regarding the amount of time it takes for toxins to clear out sounds, well, a lot less reliable than a study by an accredited university that uses the scientific method to arrive at their conclusions. I have 10 years sobriety and it took the better part of 6 months for me to truly feel "niormal" again. Long story short, the amount of time has a lot to do with your fitness level (THC is stored in lipids, a heavy smoker with excess BF will take longer to completely detox), quality of marijuana you consumed (is it medicinal grade?), the regularity you smoked, your age, etc. So everyone who is having a hard time quitting, rest assured there will come a day when you realize the fog is gone. And ps: you're still a penis!

I've been a habitual smoker since I was 15 (now 36) and have a habit of quitting cold-turkey every few years. I've been incredibly tired lately, though I do not recall this being an issue before (memory may not serve me well, however).
I'm an active person; I lift at least 3 days per week and have done so for the past 5 years and on off days I look for a physical activity. My diet has been consistent and healthy for this duration as well (largely protein and fats with minimal carb intake unless it's a heavy lifting day).
I understand that after quitting the brain serotonin production is low/sluggish and can take awhile to regulate. I'm not sure to what extent serotonin plays in to this feeling of lethargy, but I found this study that may give a little light: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/10622375 .

Good for you man. Quitting was always about what others wanted, now its about what i want and i think that is the most important causal factor in quitting anything. Alcohol i quit on my own, and now ive found my own reasons to quit marijuana...the tiredness ive noticed has been a complete b***h but ill hang in there... hopefully you hung in there as well. Great job!
