i was with a guy who had dry chapping lips, but i did not notice any bleeding on the lips. at the end of our meeting he forced a dry closed mouth kiss on my lips. i felt a flake of his chapping lip and i immediately pulled away, as i feared the flake would break off from his lip to mine. after i pulled away, i did not feel the flake on my lip, so i suppose it remained on him. i do not know his HIV status. if he is positive, could i get hiv from kissing his chapped lips, especially if the chapped flake broke off from his lip.

Even if he was HIV positive it's unlikely. Saliva is very good at preventing HIV transfer, even with a "wet" kiss. HIV is a very fragile virus.
