Hi, guys. I injured my knee several years ago. I didn’t go to surgery, since MRI showed that I didn’t need to fix it. However, I am thinking know perhaps with years I will develop symptoms. Should I fix this cartilage defect from knee trauma? Thanks in advance for all your replies.

Hello. Knee cartilage is also known as meniscus. It isn’t necessary to go to surgery always. That is why MRI is done. Doctors see the percentage of the defect and decide whether to operate it or not. I think you shouldn’t worry a lot. Just pay attention to hurt knee and don’t force it much. If you feel any pain, you can put some analgesic ointment. However, if this doesn’t help, visit a doctor. I hope I’ve helped. Bye!
