I have started to run a fever and I just got home last night from the hospital. I had surgery on the 25th (Wednesday) and have been feeling really good. I havent had to take my medication for pain, except when i want to lay down and rest (they help me to sleep). I have an incision on my belly that is about 10 inches long and required about 16 staples. While in the hospital I one time had a fever of 100.1 and it was apparently due to build up of fluid in my lungs or somethign b/c as soon as i coughed and we retook the temp it was like 98.8.
What causes this? should I be concerned and call the doctor? There is no drainage or abnormal redness around my incision.
