The symptoms you're describing are concerning and could be indicative of a few different health issues. Here are some possibilities based on your description, but only a healthcare professional can provide a definitive diagnosis:
-
Cardiovascular Issues: Fast, palpable heartbeats and high blood pressure, along with chest pain and breathlessness, can be signs of cardiovascular problems. This could include conditions like hypertension, arrhythmia, or even heart disease.
-
Neurological Concerns: Symptoms like confusion, dizziness, and changes in vision, along with pain that radiates from the head down, could indicate neurological issues. This might include migraine headaches, nerve disorders, or other neurological conditions.
-
Musculoskeletal Strain: Given your job involves typing and speaking on calls, some of your symptoms like upper back pain and discomfort in the rib area could be related to musculoskeletal strain or poor ergonomics.
-
Anxiety or Stress-Related Issues: Sometimes, symptoms like rapid heartbeat, breathlessness, and confusion can be related to anxiety or high levels of stress. However, these should not be assumed as the cause without ruling out more serious conditions.
-
Respiratory Conditions: Breathlessness and chest pain can also point to respiratory issues, which can range from mild conditions like costochondritis (inflammation of the rib cage) to more serious ones like pulmonary embolism.
-
Other Medical Conditions: There are also other conditions, such as thyroid disorders or electrolyte imbalances, that can cause some of these symptoms.
Doctor may conduct a variety of tests, including blood tests, ECG (electrocardiogram), imaging studies, or neurological assessments, to determine the cause of your symptoms. Let us know what they found out.
