I have the same problem, the thing is stress or lack of electrolytes in the body, You can be stress from anything and in the back of your mind it triggers the pain all over again. You can take meds for the pain to relax your mind. You might have ADHD. You just have to stop thinking about the worries of the world and have fun. But always check with the doctor to make sure and never diagnose yourself.

I smoked for 25 years and quit in 2010. I still feel NO better, but at least I quit to try and feel better. If you still smoke, you really don’t want to feel better, do you? You would not leave a doctors office then stand and inhale over a burning trash can, would you? Don’t be niave, burning smoke in your body cannot be a positive step in your recovery plan can it? Please don’t be one of those idiots that ends up saying, “ I didn’t know that smoking was so bad for people."

I have found that stress is a common cause of chest pain/pressure. I have it regularly, also have non-consistent HBP. Nothing is helping.

So I had the treadmill stress test back in July.
Everything is good there.
Had the PFT a few weeks later.
I just got the results are couple of days ago.
My primary care doctor said that the sacs in my lungs are not right.
She sent me for a CT Scan which did not show a blood clot.
Here vague diagnosis of a Obstructive pulmonary disease wasn't too soothing.
So now I am waiting for the referral to the Pulmonary specialist for further testing.
And I am having chest pain quite often no matter what I do.

I feel for your mom (&you)l. Nothing worse than being sick & drs not knowing what is wrong with you. I was in the same situation for months & having no insurance made it nearly impossible to see any light. Until I went to ER & they did a cat scan & found out my problem. I was not liking what drs were telling me so I decided to take responsibility for my own health. I am feeling pretty good right now thanks be to God. If you are interested in finding out what helped me you can email me.

I have been to the doctor twice in a few years and they both said it was GERD and prescibed protonix. It made it go away.

well you have hit it on the head with my symptoms TimS - Ive been through many tests only to be told Im fine - It was the part of food going down that really caught my eye - my food feels like its having trouble going down - hot meals leave a "burning" sensation and when I drink cold water - its like putting a fire out. I'll drink water when the food feels like its stuck and it offers a bit of relief - thank you for sharing this problem - my Dr. thinks I'm over reacting - Bless the internet - Ive learned more inquiring on different subjects. Bless you and thank you

this post seems to best describe what I've been experiencing. starts for a day or two, then goes away for a number of days; comes back, sometimes I wake up from the discomfort and sometimes I feel some real pain in my chest for a minute or so; then it goes away. Yesterday and today, it's been a constant discomfort. it's really worrying me. I've been tested, and all seems fine per my doctor. but something is causing this sensation, which is very uncomfortable as well as disconcerting!
