there is no cure for this, dont bother go to the doctors, they didnt study this because it is a cause of modern society. From research, i found this chest pain to related to the nerve system is misplaced or inflamed. i have this chest pain and tightness as well. it feel especially worse when sitting prolonged. that is because our muscle expanded and blocked some nerve.
from a research i found in chinese, this chest pain is a cause of accumulative use of cold water or muscle stress that accumulate when you either exercise alot and take cold water right away or using cold water too much causing your lung adjust to it with time moving your muscles to new places. or inflammed the chest from injury can also cause this.
there is no cure except exercise or change your body shape enough for the better. of course, reduce gas in your belly an also help and it can reduce the size of your internal as it seem (sometime works for me) ...eat less and takeheart burn relieve drug also seem to help as it reduce acid and gas.
i am no doctor, i am only speaking from experience, i had this for months as well.

I have had chest pressure for 2 months straight. Doctors can't find anything and it started after I did a lot of exercise a few days prior which could be the cause. I am starting to think it is stress and anxiety, but what worries me now is if it will ever go away even with treatment.

All,
Chest tightness could also me cause of allergy. What you are eating or other things.
Peanuts is the big cause of that.

I am happy that you are so involved with your Mom's care. I have similar symptoms which began after getting altitude sickness in CO. Had pleurisy without fluid. Pain is gone, but still have a breathing heaviness on right side of my chest when sitting up. Lying down feels better. Your Mom has been to cardiologist, I would try a hematologist, call and give them her records for review. They look at blood from a different aspect and maybe can do some testing. I wish you luck and hope Mom is better by now.

I have the same problem myself. I've been to the ER three times for chest discomfort. I've done a stress test (treadmill), Chest Xrays, EKG's, bloodwork, every Hospital visit, and two individual doctor's visits. All results came back good. My doctor keeps saying I'm in excellent health and its just stress. I beg 2 differ, I hope it is and not nothing more serious. However, I have the exact same symptoms as well.

I also have the same symptoms! It’s been on and off for 3 years now since I had Lyme disease. I’m a 25 year old female. I’ve also seen cardiologists, been to the ER fearing a heart attack, and consistent trips to my doctor, and everything comes up fine. Doctor thinks it’s anxiety, but I don’t really feel very anxious (though anxiety does run in the family and there are a bunch of life changes happening to me now), but everything I’ve read about anxiety and chest tightness says it should last no more than 10 minutes.
About 3 months ago, I caught a cold with a dry cough, and now the tightness has been consistent since then and the cough remains. It’s mostly dry, I have tried an inhaler to loosen it up but it doesn’t help as much as it used to. I’ve noticed yoga usually helps, unless I end up focusing on how hard it is to breath.
Has anyone figured this out?

I'm having the same problem. Currently looking into microvascular coronary disease. Which doesn't show up on a heart cath or sometimes an ekg.
