I also have been taking subutex for one year now and I went from 8-10mg per day to 0.3mg per day over one week.

I don't feel too bad, I have been taking 30/500 Solpadol capsules 3-4 times a day and 5mg diazepam at night.

I had my last subby on Saturday and have vowed never to take opiates again.

The most ridiculous thing about it is that I had been 7 weeks clean of heroin before I started to buy those damn tabs and slammed them up my nose every day.

The main reason for quitting was that my supplier was deluded in to thinking that he owned me, as if I was in some way dependant on him, fool. Out of pride I swore to stop.

I also have a job I love, a nice car, a lovely home, I am of respectable appearance and I don't wish to throw it all away because of some stupid habit that although costs 10 times less than skag, still runs your life.

I have been on all forums on the net and there seem to be many horror stories regarding buprenorphine withdrawal, I think it should be stopped for the simple fact that you don't need much to get high and in most cases people are scripted too much and this leads to abuse.

There is nothing wrong with a good old rattle, as long as you are determined to stop, sure it is painful, agonizing and seemingly never ending, but at least the day before is the worst and soon you will be a human being again.

Sorry to end on a cliche, but 'choose life'.

Peace fellow dragon slayers.
