The same thing happened to me 2yrs since my appendectomy, went back and forth 2 hospital in chronic bladder pain, bowel issues worst pain everyday. I got an xray on my back from my sports doctor and he found 2 metal clips in my pelvis. One on my bladder one on my bowel I begged 5 times same hosptial to remove 2 notes from my gp and no! I went 2 urologist she made me do organ movement therapy which is grinding my bladder made pain worse! Finally a year later she removed 1 on my bladder.Left 1 on my bowel, bladder is in chronic pain and major bowel issues complained to the college of physicians battled 4 a year nothing brutal! Called 2 lawyers doesn't look good to win I've lost everything and am home bound can barely walk I'm lost what am I going to do :( painfully Carmen.

I know not much help but I had my operation 3 weeks ago and too have that exact pinching feeling! I haven't been to the doctors but I completely understand. I wonder is that normal too?

I am 2 months past spending nearly a month in the hospital and 6 weeks on IV antibiotics from a ruptured appendix and having my gallbladder removed. Up until a few days ago I experienced sharp pains in my left chest area which eventually moved to my left abdomen. All blood tests, tests of my digestive function and heart came back fine. My doctor was honestly at a loss other than to blame it on the antibiotics killing off all the good bacteria in my digestive tract. I started taking a good probiotic and a few days ago the pain just stopped. I don't know if it was the probiotic or just normal healing but it stopped as quickly as it started. So if any of you are having a similar experience it may not last forever but long enough to seriously worry you.

Gas! It's probably from the gas they use to blow your belly up to do the procedure.

I had surgery 2 weeks ago and started experiencing this wave of pain yesterday as well. Could you tell me if your pain went away and how long? I started doing a little more physical activity yesterday so maybe I strained or over did it but the pain woke me up tonight so it's hurting (just comes in waves) while I'm lying down too. Not running a fever and feel fine otherwise.

You could have an ulcer. They leave behind a stump of your appendix and some fluid could leak out and cause the body to form an ulcer over the stump to prevent infection of your entire GI track. I recently had my appendix removed also and they warned me of this risk. If you are having server sharp pain where the appendix used to be this is a big sign of it. If you also have a fever I would check with your doctor because this can be serious.

Im really sorry to hear about your grandma. My best guess is that her age took a toll on her, because my surgeon said there are a lot more complications if you have your appendix removed when your old. Even if it was successful it could've been other issues in her body that caused her demise, especially if it ruptured and the waste went around to other areas of her body, and they didn't realise then it could've led to her demise. Again sorry for the loss hope this helped.
