I have been diagnosed with Chronic Pancreatic. Now I know that I am to follow a Low fat, no salt, sugar & avoid at all costs Alcohol.

My question is this, I was a diabetic before finding out this new condition. I had some surgery done (2 hernia's repaired) now that Surgeon had also told me I had "stones" in my Pancreas. My family Dr said nothing of this. When I was sent for tests again my Family Dr told me nothing of the results until I landed in the Hospital with an Acute Pancreatic Attack. I was shocked and more so when the Specialist had told me that it was in my records from 2 yrs ago!

I am working with a Dietitian through the Diabetes Dr but no one is really telling me what to avoid or what is okay to eat. I am at a total lost. The only thing I have figured out is Caesar salad and roast chicken, that combination doesn't elevate my sugar levels (or make me crash when I do my insulin before my meal).

Maintaining sugars has been a nightmare, but now I am working on leveling out my sugars (better control) I am finding I am more fatigued, I have no energy to do anything, I even fall asleep at the oddest of times.

Can you please give me some direction to this?? I am seeing a specialist in the New Year in regards to my liver as I am losing much too much protein when I urinate as well.

Thank you!
