About 10 weeks ago, me and my boyfriend had sex, it was protected

but it broke.

I took a pregnancy test about 2 weeks later, because I hadn't had my period yet,

it came up negative, and my period came.

I didn't think much of it, but since then, my periods have been about a week late each time..

My cousin told me that she had her period 3 months after she found out she was pregnant, so I know its possible.

I know tests aren't all that accurate either.

I've felt cramping like in my stomach, my appitite has changed, i'm always wanting to eat,

to where before I didn't eat much at all, I have problems with headaches, but the pain has increased.

Has anyone else had this problem? or is it just my nerves?

Like i said i've taken 2 test since then, they were about a week apart...

Note: I had sex, a little less that a week before my period should have came...

Please give me any advice.

Hi Throw,

Despite what your cousin says you won't have a normal period while pregnant.  You can't.  During a period the lining of the uterus is shed.  If you were pregnant you would lose the baby.  Bleeding can occur, but that is not a "normal period."

The tests are very accurate, if used correctly.  By about 10 days past your period due date the levels of hCG in your blood should cause a HPT to read positive.

You indicate you've had more than one period since then.  In that case it is very unlikely you are pregnant.  You can always take another test or see your doctor for a blood test, they look for the same hormone.

Having sex a week before your period was due is likely well past ovulation, the egg is only viable 48 hours past ovulation, so pregnancy is unlikely.

I think it is your nerves and stress.  There is always a chance though.

Good luck.
