I've had this sweet smell constantly for over a month!!! Glucose is fine sugar 95-120 constantly. Kidney functions good, sooo I guess you live with it and I hope it just goes away. feeling fine, but I'm not driving myself crazy worrying

If you have had tests and and all normal look to what you are touching or using I had a sweet taste in mouth like I'd put a spoon of sugar in my mouth it was down to the body lotions Nivea and Vaseline I was putting on my skin everyday keep me updated I hope u get it sorted

If you are referring to the question "has your medication changed" it's from a "guest" as are you. I am having the same problem for 3 days. I have a pretty good idea about wht it is tough. I had a constant sour taste for more than 10 years, visited several gastrologists because I knew it was coming from my stomack, not originated in the mouth. But, they kept prescribing ant-acids even though I never experienced heart burn. The heart burn medicines gave me heart burn, so I stopped taking since they did not help with the taste. It was a torture, I would feel the sour taste 24/7 and forgot how a fresh mouth supposed to feel. One of my doctors had some common sense. He prescribed ant-biotics to treat a stomack bacteria called H Py Lorri. It helped a lot, but the sour taste was still there 24/7 soon after I stopped taking the antibiotics. One day I bought a new brand a yogurt, called Cobat, at a grocery store and noticed it was alleviating the problem. I am eating that yogurt ever since almost every day. It is vey creamy and made of milk with 10% fat. It has a lot calory, but it is a lesser concern. Now the symptom is almost completely gone. I learned how a fresh mouth tastes again. I feel fresh most of the time unless I eat a lot of fatty food. But, in the past 3 days I have experiencing a sweet taste. It is not as unpleasant us the sour taste whith makes you feel as if your teeth are being soaked in acid, but it is unnormal. It might be still due to the same issue I had before, unbalanced small intestine flora. I am taking probiotic pills in addition to yogurt. Hopefully, it will go away soon.

Thank you, I have been drinking some healthy balance cranberry sweetened with SPLENDA, It was not good and was not planning on buying anymore of it. I think that is the reason for the taste or after taste, it has been several hours.

Hi there I think I have exactly the same problem I had some dental work on a tooth that was cracked and he put a metal band and filled it with something....it is the reaction of the metals... I think I shall go off to the dentist too...Best of luck Wendy

I find some offense to you saying,
"Are you at risk of developing diabetes meaning overweight, eating unhealthy, do not exercise, have sedentary line of work". Not everyone who is at risk for diabetes are overweight, eating unhealthy, do not exercise, etc. There are people who are the example of healthy but still have or are at risk for diabetes but to stereotype people is an incorrect assumption.

Thanks i think this maybe my issue I recently started having disgusting sweet mouth 4months pregnant and I realize it did start just after the Dr. Put me on an antibiotic, thank God I took my last antibiotic today, hopeful all will balance out and sweet taste will leave in a day or 2.
