Hello, all. I am wondering about driving a hgv/lgv once you have been diagnosed with diabetes? Can someone still drive after being a diabetic? I am a type 2 diabetic and i don't take any medication or shots. I just watch my carbohydrates. I don't exercise because I just can't get inot doing exercise with my driving so much. I don't have time to do it really. And when I get home I just want to spend time with my family and just unwind. What does everyone think about the issue of driving? I guess if I am not driving for a living, I won't have to worry about the "not having time for exercise" thing, huh? If I have my license taken away, how do I get it back so I can drive again? Are there any diabetics out there that used to drive hgv/lgv before they became diabetic and had to quit driving because of being diabetic? Were you able to get your license back? Are you still able to drive your personal vehicle? Can the doctor give a note showing that I can drive safely? I don't get low blood sugars, just high ones if I eat too many carbohydrates in one setting. I feel fine otherwise. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
