I'm 30 years old and for the last 2.5 years i have had a strange white lumpy discharge that just seemed to come on one day. It doesn't smell or itch and is almost like cottage cheese. I have been to 3 sexual health clinics and all tests (swabs/smears) were normal. I have been put o loads of antibiotics and anti-fungal treatment just to be sure, but nothing has worked. Recently I went for an ultrasound scan and had yet more swabs, again all normal! I was so frustrated and have been feeling so rubbish for the last few years. I'm in a long term relationship and I felt horrible every time we had sex. I literally had to scoop myself out so that there wouldn't be little white lumps all over my boyfriend! Sorry – very graphic. Anyway, someone suggested that it could be an imbalance in the acid/alkali balance of my vagina. I was told to bath in a solution of bicarbonate of soda for 20 mins twice a day (quite a lot - 3 heaped tablespoons in a small bucket of warm water). I was utterly surprised that it seems to have cured it!!!!! I just can't believe it and wanted to share this with everyone. Obviously people should rule out any chance of infection etc. first, but I’ve read a lot of women seem to have ruled everything out and still have this problem so maybe it’s worth a try! I really hope this helps someone.
My first thoughts make me wanna point almost all my fingers at a yest infection, my gf has gotten them just by using a body wash. Glad to see you got your problem solved tho.
