Hello! I have increased body temperature (around 37.8 C), I am sneezing and coughing; my throat is red, I have headache and I feel very weak. My doctor told me few days ago that I should not be worried because I have cold. But, since yesterday swallowing is painful and I think that my tonsils are swollen. Could tonsillitis be confused for a cold? Thanks!

Hello! I ca tell you that tonsillitis could be confused for a cold. You need to visit your doctor again, because you will need to do some medical exams just for diagnosing if you have tonsillitis caused by bacteria or virus. This is very important because of treatment, but I think that you probably know this.
