My daughter had her tonsils out last week and this is day 9 and she still has not been able to eat anything except cream of chicken soup. We have tried numerous things and she cannot swallow anything else. She cannot drink anything-she was back at the hospital on day 6 for dehydration. I never thought it would be this bad! Anybody else with a simular case? She has lost so much weight and without anything else going in her, it will be a long time before she regains her strength. She also has extreme pain in her left ear. She is still taking the pain meds every 4 hours and is just in bed all day and night. Any words of comfort from someone with the same case??
