I am a diabetic, and take my insulin shots in my stomach. Last weekend, I hit a blood vessel, and developed a large red spot on my stomach where the injection had been given. It was sensitive to touch, and last night, the skin broke and the blood began running out of the injury. I have put a telfa pad over it to contain and catch the blood, but need to know how to stop the bleeding so that a scab may form.
