I just had a baby 3 and a half months ago and i had been sexually active for quite a while and i hadn't started my period since i had her so i took a pregnancy test and it came out positive... well i started my period about two weeks later and i passed a very large blood clot looking thing. Did i miscarry or is that normal? And did the still remaining pregnancy hormones make the test come out positive?

I honestly don't think the hormones would still be in you because it is done on HCG levels to pass a pregnancy test and for most tests you need to be at least 2 weeks preganant and that time the levels are still low with about 300-500 so after you have your kid the hormone levels drop pretty fast that is why you are so emotional after having a child. I have had 10 miscarriages and the ones that were early pregnancy where I couldn't be that far along came out like a bloody clot but the main differance was it was kinda like stringy also. But I thought the same things about hormones because I had a late miscarriage and then 2 months later hadn'treally started my period so I took a pregnancy test and it came out positive I thought the hormones could still be in me so I took like 11 home tests and then finally a blood test and it was actually positive
