About 4 weeks ago, I had the hymenectomy surgery. My gynecologist told me when I was ready to have sex, I would need to have the surgery. So, I did. I was given the okay after 4 weeks. However, when my boyfriend and I tried, I still was in extreme pain. I've been using toys to try to reduce the pain during sex, but I have not been able to get very far. I do know there is a scab, so maybe I'm trying too soon. I feel down because I was told and read it didn't hurt after the surgery. Am I doing something wrong?
Did the doctor who did the surgery prescribe a set of vaginal dilators for you to use? You need to contact the doctor about this. You have the right idea with using the toy but it is probably too big. The dilators come is a set of three or four. You might want to start with using one finger and see how that works. If the entrance of your vagina feels like a firm band, then you may have adhesions...Using the dilators are to prevent the development of adhesions PM me if I can be of any further help... still you need to go back to the surgeon to be evaluated.
