Use Refresh. Its sold over the counter. I swear by it. I had the same experience. My dr would give me meds for bacterial infections all the time but the real problem was my PH balance was off. I thought it was yeast infections initially. Refresh inserts work like yeast infection meds. Miracle. Never had to use the meds again. And douching is really not good to do. It throws off your ph balance. Hope this helps. I know this was an old post but thought you might still need.

i have this same problem, im 17 and its completely embarassing. i have to wear light pads every single day, and its not fun. i didnt always wear them though. at first i didnt pay attention to my problem, and got teased alot because of the smell. i didnt wear pads at first because my doctor told me it was normal so i assumed every girl in my school had the same problem. that was in the 6th grade. although i had a discarge problem way before that. but now as a senior in high school i have been wearing pads every day since the 9th grade after getting teased really bad one day. its not the easiest thing to talk about with your parents or friends because they dont understand. yea you can tell them the situtaion, but they wont understand your embarssment. my question is can it be hereditary because my sister has the problem too. but we are both considered overweight, so could that maybe, be the problem?

I struggle with the same and I just have to wear panty liners all the time! But I do performing arts do if a do a dance or something I can feel it coming out and if I get lifted I'm so nervous that they'll either get discharge on them through my clothes or they'll smell it.

I'm 12 and I'm already worried about this. Very light blood on periods but tampons get soaked the rest of the way with discharge. Tried using tampon when I knew I wasn't bleeding at all and it got fully soaked all the same. Definitely scared of tss but also, using tampons everyday, that's a lot of tampons.

I have PID - pelvic inflmmatory diseas e- which apparently is a disease after all...i have clear and runny to whiteish and sticky vaginal discharge all day every day. I've been treated for pelvic infections a lot - which doesn't fix it. I've been told that some women just produce more discharge and it's normal, but it's really NOT normal when it's accompanied by pelvic pain. I did have a pelvic infection that left unrecognized and untreated for 10 years, which caused a lot of problems including infertility, and have had 1 infection since a while ago, but it's different, since infections seem to smell strange along with the discharge. So, PID, with no current infection, no yeast infection, no UTI, no STDS as i've been testing for everything multiple times, clear or insignificant ultrasounds, pelvic exams, and cultures, no abnormal levels of bacterias. So, apparently just PID is causing it, which kind of makes sense if you think about IBS which can cause mucus in stool (I also have). Additionally I have Intertitial Cystitis which is like bladder inflammation, which aggravates my pelvic organs at times and I'm sure wreaks havoc on my PID. Maybe PID can cause mucus in the cervical/vaginal canal similar to how IBS can cause mucus in the intestinal tracts.

So I have had this issue too with excess discharge for years (10+).
I’ve tried everything and been back to my doctor more times than I can count. (Note I don’t have issues with odour/colour/infections, just the volume).
As someone who specialises in bacteria professionally, I was terribly concerned about asymptotic infections. I went to a great specialist who did a thorough exam, and what she found was that the glands I have that produce discharge are larger than normal, which is likely a result of being on the pill. It would be interesting to see how many other women with discharge issues are also on the pill?

For safety try to use panty liners. They are more affordable and let the discharge come out. Easy to change and it will absorb so it doesn't feel wet like you peed. the slight smell could also be from keeping a tampon in and the discharge sitting in there. I also have this issue and I use panty liners the most.

I have had this since I have gotten on the pill. I was wondering if that's what caused it. Just another reason I'm thinking about coming off the pill.

I wear tampons everyday for the same reason. I have done since I was about 23 and I'm now 36. I worry about the tss risks but so far so good. It helps me a lot. But i do feel maybe it's a bit of an ODD thing with me.
