I was experiencing this discomfort for a few months and still am. I went for a scan at my local hospital around a month ago. It's turns out it was a varicose vein that was inflamed and I have booked an appointment with the urologist. So if you feel above you testicle and it feels like a (bag of worms) you have a varicose vein.
This may not be the case, but this is just my experience.

I had similar pain. What helped me was to wear an athletic supporter during the day.

Hi.
I am having the same issue since last month, I feel discomfort in scrotum I.e scrotum right testicle touches my right inner thigh, mild pain in groin area and sometime in lower abdomen, It is pertinent to mention here that I feel the above situation after masturbation / ejaculation.
I visited the urologist, testicles are normal, I had an ultrasound of lower abdomen and testicles, that also became normal.
I am now unable to understand what is it ? its not properly diagnosed yet. Plz reply

Here’s my story & I’ll keep it short..I’m 49 and started having the same issues. It started in my groin area then my chest & kidneys. Like others here I went to the doctor ran all the tests & found nothing. They prescribed pain meds which didn’t help. It was getting a lot worse & I thought my body was shutting down & just a matter of time. One day my doc prescribed a low dose of Escitalopram it’s a anxiety med. The next day all the pain went away, it’s been 3 yrs pain free. Some thoughts here I didn’t believe I had anxiety, I didn’t think it would work. I feel no difference on or off the med.

Some more thoughts.. I urge people to look into the relationship between anxiety and chronic pain. Some anxiety is normal but sometimes, anxiety becomes persistent & impairing I share this information because I didn’t believe it or even heard of such a thing & my own doc said she wouldn’t of believed it 20 yrs ago. Like I said this is my story & cure I wish all of you my best. Jack

Hey guys, just wanted to leave this here in case anyone finds this thread like I did while suffering through it. My right ball mostly, but sometimes left as well, felt heavy and sore. It got progressively worse and I went to two different urgent cares first, one presumed a UTI and gave me nitrofurantoin. It got worse during the week I was taking it, so I went back and saw a different PA. She said it could be an STI (it couldn't have been, and wasn't) and gave me doxycycline but suggested I see a urologist and book an ultrasound screening with an order for such. I booked that appointment but before the date came up, it got worse again and I called out of work to go to the ER. I just got home from there - they did an ultrasound on my balls and found nothing structurally concerning apart from a hydrocele, which is essentially fluids in the balls that is usually caused my injury or inflammation. I have no idea what caused mine because I have never been injured or inflamed there and I think I'd know if I had been, although the possibility remains that I did have a UTI at first with epididymitis and that's what caused the seperate hydrocele. There's no cure unfortunately, so you simply have to wait for the weeks or months it takes to drain the fluids naturally. It's not dangerous unless it's much more seriously swollen, and you would recognize that swelling immediately and it would constitute a medical emergency. Varicocele is possible as well but they can't know for sure yet, hence why I'm supposed to follow up with a urologist to monitor for it. As others have mentioned here, a hernia is a possible cause of these symptoms and a kidney stone is another. If you're experiencing this, you need to go to a hospital and get fully checked out to make sure it's not something more serious, there's no way to tell what it is without an ultrasound or other test and it's not worth risking it. The only thing you can do is take 600mg ibuprofen every 6-8 hours to help control the inflammation so it doesn't get to a critical level and become an emergency. If you take any natural supplements (especially those for inflammation, adaptogens, circulation etc) that may benefit you as well, and look into yoga poses for treating hydrocele. Even just some moderate stretching in the right way can help drain your testicles faster and get you guys some relief. This also becomes an emergency if it goes away and recurs - that's almost certainly a sign of a chronic issue down there and believe me, no chronic ball issue is a good issue. Go get it treated and if your first round of antibiotics don't work (a doctor will almost always assume UTI + epididymitis first), take your ass to an ultrasound or urologist within a week. If no appointment is available quickly, go to the ER. I wouldn't wish permanent pecker problems on my worst enemy and I really don't want you guys to suffer any more than necessary if this c**p happens to you. Someone mentioned cinnamon being a godsend which sadly hasn't really helped me personally, but I will continue to take it (with fish oil, QUALITY multivitamin, and circulation boosters like horse chestnut and ashwagandha) and report back if anything noticeably changes. Good luck and take care of yourselves dudes, don't risk any further damage but don't be scared since this is generally very uncomfortable but overall benign if you get treated properly.
